Wilkinson Construction Consultants are a small family run Approved Inspector with a reputation for excellence and a great place to work. We hold the National Workplace Wellness Charter and are also the holders of the Award for Best Approved Inspector 2016.

Due to our continued success we are looking to appoint a part time Senior Building Control Surveyor at our Head Office in Kent. The post will report to the Managing Director and will be mostly office based, managing a small team of surveyors and involve - checking plans, allocating and reviewing site inspection reports, providing technical advice, assisting with professional development of graduate surveyors and marketing - occasional travel to meetings and covering site inspections may also be required.

You will be qualified to MRICS or equivalent, experienced in both residential and commercial construction with a good knowledge of Building Regulations and be customer focussed. You will have your own car and be able to work at heights, climb ladders etc.

The post would ideally suit someone who finds Local Authority Building Control too bureaucratic but doesn’t want the long hours and pressure that comes with working for a large corporate Approved Inspector. It could also be suitable for someone semi-retired or with child care commitments as the 20 hours can be worked flexibly over 3, 4 or 5 days per week.
