Due to increased demand and additional sign off for headcount in the team, we are delighted to offer an exciting new opportunity for a Stock Control & Materials Movement Co-ordinator with a successful, global, company in the area specialising in the manufacture of fast moving consumer goods

Reporting to the Internal Logistics Manager, the Stock Control & Materials Movement Co-ordinator is essentially responsible for overseeing stock movement in terms of managing inbound stock through Goods In, to smooth the flow into and out of the Warehouse, ie. components through to finished goods across the business.

Through the teams, you will store goods and deliver materials to both internal and external customers in line with the needs of the business, continually challenging the operation to drive continuous improvement, minimum stock levels and availability of all products for both the domestic and export markets and have experience in driving change within a Stock Control role, in order to improve efficiencies.

Essential Experience we are seeking in an individual:-
We are ultimately searching for an individual with clear operational stock control experience from a Warehouse & Distribution background.
Confidence in both the use of SAP and Warehouse & Stock Management systems – this is essential and must be evident on your CV, in order to be considered.
Experience in working closely with 3rd party logistics providers.
Strong communication and influencing skills.
The ability to build rapport with people both internally and externally.
The ability to analyse and interpret data.
Achievement of targets and strategic objectives.

In terms of personal qualities, we are seeking:-
There is a requirement for the successful candidate to be fairly dynamic with outstanding communication skills, together with the ability to forge strong working relationships across functions.
There is a requirement to be an enthusiastic team player who displays confidence and leadership, who can be counted upon to exceed goals successfully, who is bottom line orientated, by continually pushing oneself and others with an open, honest and approachable attitude

Responsibilities, knowledge & skills we are seeking:-
Management of stock from material suppliers through to end users.
Ensure that stock systems are managed, updated and accurate.
Work closely with 3rd party suppliers to ensure the accuracy, integrity and legal compliance of stock and levels are maintained at all times, investigating all differences.
Carry out Perpetual Inventory and Cyclical counts.
Warehouse pallet reports & KPI’s.
Stock checks on Kanban materials at production.
Check non-physical storage areas in SAP to ensure everything is accounted for at month/year end
Manage Plant to Plant stock transfer process with the correct quantities and pallet configurations.
Ensuring all statutory H & S guidelines are adhered to within the Warehousing area.
Implement and ensure agreed H & S initiatives are embedded and maintained.
Ensure all risk assessments within the Warehousing department are completed and adhered to.
Good IT skills including the use of spreadsheets, MS Office to present Stock Reports (plus SAP as an essential)
Working knowledge of H & S policies and procedures (COSHH, PPE, RSI)
The ability to deputise for the Operations Manager as required.

Hours of Work:
Working 39 hours per week, 5 days per week.

Driving licence essential in order to move between local sites and visit 3rd parties.
