Our client based in Edenbridge is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer, Setter & Operator Machinist (Miller). This role is offered as a permanent full time position working – Monday to Thursday 07.30 to 16.00 and 07.30 to 15.15 on Friday – 38 hour week + OT.
Suitable candidates will require the following skills/experience:
• Able to set and operate a CNC milling machine with no supervision
• Ideally apprentice trained/time served
• Knowledge of Fanuc, Hass or Heidenhain controls
• Experience of working to tight tolerances
• Working with aluminium & Copper materials
• Experience of 3, 4 or 5 axis machines
• Programming knowledge is desirable but not essential

Day to day duties:
You will begin by getting an engineering drawing, root card and the material needed. Once you have the kit you will then need to set the datum's make sure the correct tooling is in and upload the program (program may need to be edited). Whilst the machine is running, you will need to change any broken tools and make sure that the machine is operating smoothly. After the program has finished you will then have to do a 1st off and make sure that the component meets the correct tolerances.
