Business Development Account Manager – Construction
Covering London and the Home Counties ; working from home
Salary up to £60,000 (dependant on experience,) + car allowance + generous bonuses and excellent benefits package
My client is an extremely successful highly regarded company within its field. They are a rapidly expanding company and sit within the top ten companies within the UK housing and construction industry.
They currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development/Account Manager to assist with their continued growth and success.
Main responsibilities of the role:
• The main purpose of this role is to build client and key influencer relationships within the relevant geographical area of responsibility, in order to create opportunities that produce business in line with the regional financial plan.
• Effective account management to ensure business relationships are nurtured and developed
• To work with the Regeneration Director to deliver the regional budget
• To be responsible for developing and following a client visitation plan
• Responsible for developing the initial bid winning/pursuit plan
• To hold meetings where necessary to discuss all opportunities from leads, PQQ’s and tenders with the relevant individuals
• Produce annual business development plan including market research on new and emerging markets etc
• To be responsible for finding and developing leads through relationships with clients, consultants, colleagues, supply chain and any other potential route
• To stay involved as the opportunity moves through PQQ process, tender and quality bid
• To follow up with clients after submission if PQQ’s and tenders to obtain feedback and results
• To maintain appropriate contact with clients and consultants after contracts are secured, or lost, to maximise future opportunities
• To work with the Business Strategy Manager to identify and implements robust local strategies to develop new and existing clients
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of lead generation within the construction industry, ideally residential housing.
You will need to be a self-motivated, proactive individual with a determination for success. Working from home his role requires self-management where you will have the tools and scope to develop client relationships and build on existing business.
Due to the nature of the role there is a lot of traveling involved, so you will need to be flexible in your working hours as there will be client engagements, networking and trade shows which will be out of core working hours and occasionally on weekends.
