Community and Wellbeing Manager


Average 37 hours per week.
Based at the Stour Centre.
Salary up to £30,000 per annum


Ashford Leisure Trust is looking for a Community and Wellbeing Manager to lead and develop our award winning successful programme. The ideal candidate will be experienced in working with the local community, schools and other local sporting organisations.

The successful post host holder should have experience in promoting and leading on community engagement to ensure that health initiatives contribute to the wellbeing of the local community including partnership working with the NHS, Health Promotions and the Health and Wellbeing board.

You will be responsible for the production and delivery of the Community Development plan. Although all sports are to be considered there will be special emphasis on the development of athletics, following the trust pathway from participation through to excellence.

You will have exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability and confidence to communicate with a wide audience. You will work closely with local, regional and national partners to ensure effective delivery of all initiatives and represent Ashford leisure Trust at meetings with these organisations.

This position is for an average of 37 hours per week, but will need to be flexible with your hours of work due to the nature of this role and have your own transport.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Chief Executive of the Trust.
