Position Expectations
The Care Services Manager will ensure the effective delivery of person-centred services to meet the identified needs of residents. The Care Services Manager will also ensure that all such services provided are in accordance with legislative requirements, for example, Care Quality Commission (CQC), Primary Care Trust (PCT) and Signature Senior Lifestyle policies. In addition, the Care Services Manager will take responsibility for all aspects of operational care management and provide the necessary leadership to support changes in services as they develop. Other responsibilities include deputising for the General Manager during times of absence or as requested by the Operations Director, and actively supporting the home in the delivery of identified Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Key Duties
• Ensure effective operations management of the Care Services
• Ensure training, support and on-going development of effective staff teams through supervision, appraisals, setting of objectives, regular team meetings and the delivery of appropriate training.
• Ensure effective management of the identified Care Services budget
• Support the development and implementation of any action plans, including the monitoring and review process for example, PCT safeguarding plans
• Contribute to business and strategic planning as required
• Ensure effective record keeping, performance monitoring and reporting is in place
• Actively involve residents, families and all staff in the development of quality standards
• Lead in the planning of duty rotas to meet the needs of the service
• Duputise for the General Manager as required
• Work within the policies and procedures of the company at all time

Candidate requirements
• Active NMC registration, ENB998, Mentorship Preparation or equivalent
• Experience of home health, assisted living or long term care desirable not essential
• At least 2 years of management experience
• Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience with a minimum of 2 years senior level experience
• Clinical supervision, budget management or project management experience
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
