ECE UK is a British company based in Rochester, Kent, designing, manufacturing and selling a wide range of quality, packaged air handling – conditioning and AC refrigeration equipment and associated services.

We require a qualified 17th Edition electrician to enhance the manufacturing department and help deliver best in class designs and operational excellence to our clients.

The role will focus on the design and installation of Trend controls, for air handling and air conditioning systems and associated field devices.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Installing energy efficient Trend control and electrical systems in Air Handling Units at our Works and on client sites.
• Manage the electrical installation for those contracts built and tested at our Works and on client sites.
• Undertake control system testing both at our Works and on client sites.
• Working to the Project Program, ensure milestones for the control system design and supply elements of the contract are achieved.
• Set up the hardware of IQ4 series controllers and install them on a Trend network (full training provided)
• Create and modify simple strategy diagrams using Trend System Engineering Tool (SET) (full training provided)
• Produce Electrical Schematic drawings for the AHU control system using electrical drawing package.
• Produce AHU or remote mounted control panel General Arrangement drawings using electrical drawing package.
• Produce electrical cabling sizing calculations to determine size and number of cores for cables to be installed.
• Generate cable containment drawings for the electrical equipment to be installed.
• Produce Technical Documentation in line with contract requirements, for example Basis of Design Specifications; cable sizing, and electrical power load; Equipment schedules; and Factory and Site Acceptance Testing documents.
• Raise purchase orders on approved suppliers considering quality and value.
• Satisfy Health & Safety objectives at all times whether activities are taking place in the office, workshop or on site; compiling and issuing Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Health & Safety Plan documentation with the appropriate input.
• Providing technical support to other departments.
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing and repairing faults.

Full training is provided on our AHU electrical installation and Trend controls systems.

Strong administrative, organisational and problem solving skills, along with a confident and professional presentation, are an absolute must. In addition to electrics, applicants must have additional trade skills in heating, ventilating and air conditioning. A minimum of 3 years’ experience preferred in this area.
