Technical Compliance Manager

Recruitment Solutions (Folkestone) Ltd are looking to recruit a Senior Technical Compliance Manager within the food industry. This is an opportunity to join a large company based in Ashford. You MUST have strong experience as Technical Compliance Manager with a good understanding of technical standards, including: nutritional, product risk, product safety, integrity & legal compliance.

Salary: Up to £45k + benefits
Hour: 08.30- 5.30

All About the Role!
• Develop and enhance our client’s compliance to its and its customers increasingly demanding technical standards, including: nutritional, product risk, product safety, integrity & legal compliance.

• Facilitation of customer and third party head office audits, e.g. BRC/Organic/MSC/Freedom Foods

• Continuously review, and manage implementation of major customer’s technical compliance policies and to monitor against their product standards and policies to ensure compliance, recommending output activity to the Technical Leadership Team

• Maintain a regular review of our client’s product standards and policies in line with changes to legislation and industry issues using insight/input from the product technology team & customer requirements; and to recommend improvements and updates to the Technical Leadership Team

• To undertake comprehensive awareness of current or emerging legislative and technical issues, by ‘horizon scanning’ of food and non-food events, and report or make recommendations to Technical Leadership Team. Regular monitoring of tools such as ‘FERA’s Horizon Scan’, ‘FIIN’, and websites such as EFSA, FSA, FSS, Campden BRI.

• Manage the central technical team’s Product Safety and integrity Surveillance Program – encompassing desktop supplier / product audits, and comprehensive product testing – to underpin, verify and monitor compliance to our product standards, and to produce regular compliance reports as support to Technical Leadership Team

• To undertake appropriate compliance HACCP / TACCP training for the wider technical team

• Assist line manager in ensuring timely turn around and accurate responses to any serious or business critical product safety, legislative, regulatory or customer queries

• Support line manager in the coordination and execution of Central Technical product recalls. Support Product Technology team in undertaking supplier audits, in particular in response to investigations related to product safety or integrity issues.

• Support line manager and technical services team by undertaking appropriate customer support service activities

• To have strong experience as Technical Compliance Manager good understanding of technical standards, including: nutritional, product risk, product safety, integrity & legal compliance.
• To carry out supplier audits, in particular in response to investigations related to product safety or integrity issues.
• Manage Technical Product Recalls along with product audits, and comprehensive product testing
• Ability to Review product standards and policies
• Manage Client compliance to its and its customers increasingly demanding technical standards, including: nutritional, product risk, product safety, integrity & legal compliance.
• Comprehensive awareness of current or emerging legislative and technical issues
• Must be able to successfully pass basic DBS certificate and basic credit check.
• Own transport
