These positions are due to expansion and we are looking for stylists who will fit in with our existing team and provide an exceptional service to the clients.

These positions are to join our 4 strong team of stylists and apprentice, in providing exceptional hair care for a diverse range of customers in a unisex salon.

The ideal candidates should have a broad range of styling and barbering experience, with up to date knowledge of cutting, colouring, and highlighting. The candidate should have a minimum of Level 2 qualifications with 1-2 years post qualification experience.

The ideal candidate should be bright and bubbly in personality and be able to work in a busy salon as part of a close knit team that have been working together for many years.

These positions are salaried (Tips are the responsibility of each individual stylist to disclose)

We have flexibility over part or full time hours being available, due to our flexibility we may be able to offer this position to individuals who are looking for a role which supports times which meet your individual family commitments.

We would ideally be looking for candidates that would be able to assist with holiday and sickness cover on occasion.

All team members take part in all salon activities from booking appointments, reception duties to washing towels and providing exceptional hair services, so a hands on and get stuck in attitude is essential.

Job Particulars

Provide exceptional customer service, greeting clients to the salon as well as handling enquiries by telephone, face to face email and online

Perform hair style consultations in order to decide what services the client needs

Provide services to clients such as shampooing, cutting, styling, colouring and highlighting as desired

Maintain safety standards and cleanliness

Assist fellow stylists with preparing clients for and during the service being provided, this may include neutralizing, removing colours, shampooing and blow drying hair

Emphasize product benefits and assist clients in the selection of retail products or services for their hair care needs

Maintain a consistent relationship with client base in order to ensure returning clients

Proactively develop new customers

Attend and participate in continuing education and training in order to follow new trends and techniques

Housekeeping, keeping salon tidy, washing etc

Person Specification

Must have thorough knowledge of hair styles, hair care products and related procedures

Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills

Applicants may initially be contacted by telephone to discuss specific availability and suitability, interviews will be conducted with a member of the existing team present as well as the owner of the salon.

Trade tests will be conducted under the watchful eye of the team, you would be required to arrange your own model/models to demonstrate ability and techniques.
