We are looking to employ a graduate trainee with immediate effect. The successful candidate will have an excellent academic background - ideally a 2.1 or higher degree in a science based, maths or accountancy degree. Alternatively a 2.1 degree with an ability to demonstrate strong mathematical and analytical skills. If you are highly numerate, with strong personal and analytical skills then come and talk to us.

You will initially join our tax department and study the ICAEW Chartered Accountancy examinations (ACA).

Friend & Grant Ltd are a local practice established for over 25 years old. We are a young practice with over half the team under 30 with 9 team members in training contracts with the ICAEW, ACCA or AAT. We use the latest technology and are at the forefront of cloud accounting. We work at a fast pace and you will be expected to adapt quickly and to work and study hard.

The key elements of the remuneration package will be as follows:

Salary £15,000 with an annual review every 1st May.
You will also have the opportunity to join the company pension scheme (employer contributions of 3% of salary)
28 days holiday- (includes bank holidays) which increases to a maximum of 33 days.
All training costs will be met by the firm and will be largely on a block release basis, i.e. periods of time away from the office studying in a classroom.

Due to the seasonality of our workload the position is for an start date no later than the end of October.
