Fluent Technologies is part of the larger Fluent Group which has been providing Telecoms solutions for over 10 years. Expanding into IT 5 years ago, forming Fluent Technologies, both the group, and the IT business are rapidly growing and looking for a young, enthusiastic technician who can grow with the business.

As a 1st line Support Engineer you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing remote support and troubleshooting on a very mixed range of issues. The role is predominantly based in our Tunbridge Wells office, but will also require customer site visits on rare occasions where remote support cannot resolve the issue.
Although this is a 1st line role, there will be exposure to more technical issues, and the team are always happy to help and improve a colleague’s technical knowledge. We also aim to employ at 1st line level where possible, so there is plenty of scope for progression within the role.

Tasks and responsibilities:
• Resolving IT issues remotely over the phone and via email
• Troubleshooting desktop software and hardware issues
• Building, repairing and configuring desktop machines for customers
• Troubleshooting basic printer issues
• Setting up new user accounts and mailboxes
• Setting up email accounts on mobile devices
• Troubleshooting basic network issues such and incorrect TCP/IP settings
• Managing customer anti-spam, and antivirus installations
• Liaising with external suppliers in regard to equipment repair under warranty
• Daily checking of customer backups via our in house systems
• Logging all tickets in our helpdesk system

Desired skills:
• Microsoft Office and Office 365
• Operating Systems: Microsoft Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10
• Basic understanding of Windows networking and TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP
• Communication skills
• Good time keeping
• Capable of working well under pressure

Further Information:
A UK driving licence is essential due to occasional site visits being required.
