Job title: IT Application Specialist - Sales, Marketing and Customer Experience
Job purpose
The IT Application Specialist role exists primarily to provide in and out of hours support to the nominated Business Units (BU`s), and be accountable for improving the engagement between the BU and the IT department. The role will be responsible for improving site accountability relating to IT systems, training, and process simplification.
The role will also be responsible for assisting in the management of the demand into IT from the nominated BU`s, delivery of small change (RFW`s), assist in the delivery of larger scale change (projects), as well as a multitude of IT Services provided to the nominated BU`s, specifically:
- Business Relationship
- Business Analysis
- Requirements Capture
- Application Support (including out of hours)
- Process and Solution Optimization
Dimensions

- The role is a key position in the Brakes IT department and is responsible for providing a range of IT services into nominated BU`s.
- The role is responsible for assisting in the prioritization, management, and delivery of Small change work from the nominated BU`s against an agreed budget.
- The role will be responsible for supporting, delivering change, and process improvement for the nominated BU`s whilst being responsible for and giving consideration to the day to day discretionary costs incurred by the individual. This includes, travel, expenses, etc. Role responsibilities, objectives, and deliverables will need to be balanced with acceptable levels of spend.

Knowledge, skills, experience and competencies

- Excellent understanding of SAP ECC6, and the ability to identify root cause and problem solve
- Excellent communicator with demonstrated ability to communicate both written and verbally with technical and non-technical staff at all levels within the business
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint tools
- Exposure to requirements capture and definition, with the ability to drive through to solution definition
- Stakeholder management experience, with the ability to balance complex and often conflicting priorities in a positive manner
- Extensive knowledge of the specific and nominated BU`s
- Experience of working with multiple suppliers, the ongoing management of third parties as well as a strong commercial awareness.
- Understanding of business process mapping techniques and procedures
- Ability to cope with complex, sometimes conflicting, business issues
