Job Title: Receptionist
Location: Canary Wharf
Salary: Basic salary up to £27,000 per annum
Do you want to work in a fun and friendly environment? Our client is a market leader in print, digital and events. They are now recruiting for a sales position in the most profitable part of their business.
This role will suit a strong communicator with exceptional face to face and telephone skills and a confident, outgoing personality. A proven track record in print and/or digital advertising sales, along with attention to detail and a commitment to fully understanding a target customer. My client offers some great benefits including free onsite Gym facilities and being located in the vibrant Canary Wharf area.
Responsibilities include:
Sales Objectives;
* Exceeding team and individual sales targets set and explained by the Sales Manager
* Selling sponsorship and advertising packages over the telephone, at client meetings and at events
* Accurately forecast and track key sales metrics : reporting weekly to Sales Manager
* Generating new business opportunities and building strong relationships with existing customers
* Contributing ideas and develop opportunities that will assist in the growth of the business.
Administrative duties;
* Updating and maintaining sales pipeline with all sales activity
* Updating and maintaining sales ledger with current sales
* Ensuring all contractual paperwork is completed accurately
* Ensuring CRM system is kept up to date with full and accurate notes
* Assisting Accounts/Finance team in chasing payments or outstanding invoices
* Chasing advertising copy/info from clients as required
Account responsibilities;
* Operate as the lead point of contact for all matters specific to your accounts
* Develop a trusted advisor relationship with customer stakeholders
* Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
Competitor Events;
* Attending competitor events as required with a view to generating revenue, incorporating:
* Researching event beforehand to assess number of potential leads/targets
* Conducting minimum of 20 face-to-face meetings per day at competitor events
* Compiling report of attendance, results of visit and projected return
Industry Knowledge and representation;
* Ongoing development of industry knowledge
* Weekly/monthly reading to facilitate more effective client conversations
* Participate in a weekly quiz, run by the sales managers to test knowledge of housing sector
* Develop and maintain knowledge of portfolio products
Requirements
* A proven track record in print and/or digital advertising sales
* Excellent numeracy and literacy. Written and spoken English as a first language is essential.
* Strong communication skills : both written and verbal.
* A natural problem solver, the post holder has both the analytical skills to quickly understand an issue facing the market, and the creativity and initiative to identify a solution.
* Confident, outgoing personality. Must get on well with people.
* Must have ?an eye for detail? and proven attention to detail. A track record of checking own and others? work, and accuracy, is essential.
* The ability to work both as part of a team and on own initiative will be important to this role.
* Commercial awareness and business acumen.
