Senior Architect / BIM Manager - Sidcup - Immediate - £Competitive - Revit
Your new company
A well-established construction consultancy based in Sidcup require a Senior Architect to join their growing team. They currently work in the following sectors; Housing, Care, Education, Health, Commercial and Blue Light.
Your new role
As a Senior Architect you will be reporting to the programme manager and also the project team leader. You will be responsible for an Architect, Technician, Assistant and a CAD Technician. You will primarily
Operate on a flexible basis in a Group environment to fulfil the Project Team's obligations.
* Carry out all RIBA Work Stages but with specific emphasis on RIBA Stages 4-7, as defined by RIBA publications.
* Take responsibility for implementation of a BIM Management System comprising procedures, practices, tools and templates necessary to comply with BIM Level 2 as determined by UK government, PAS, BS and other standards, protocols and guidance.
* Renew and update BIM Management system to comply with changes in mandated BIM Maturity Levels or government BIM documentation.
* Provide training, support and mentoring to facilitate the practices delivery of the BIM Management System.
* Lead on use, deployment and assessment of Revit Architecture in relation to the BIM Management System.
* Take responsibility for the care, motivation, morale, and general technical development of junior staff, providing technical training when appropriate.
* Exercise an assessment and reporting role in connection with matters of a difficult legal / contractual / financial nature - referring them to a Partner where appropriate.
* Fulfil the general requirements: filing, office procedures, Autocad and Revit conventions, inputting into the Practice's Information System, and similar routine administration tasks, all in accordance with Practice Policy and Procedures.
* Ensuring that tasks/duties are undertaken in accordance with the Practice Verification Strategy.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed you will need to be a registered Architect with the ARB and have a minimum 5 years part III experience. Alongside this you will be required to have a recognised BIM related qualification or equivalent course attendance. You will also be required to meet core competencies and internally/externally run CPD's in order to achieve the required RIBA recommended CPD hours per year.
