Pearson Whiffin are currently seeking a highly motivated and passionate EDI (electronic database interchange) Specialist to join a growing team and a well established organisation!

As part of the role, you will be the main project manager for e-procurement solutions for customers, responsible for the development of e-procurement sales as well as technical support for internal and external EDI trading partners.

Duties and Responsibilities

* You will be the main project manager for e-procurement solutions for customers and the driver of e-procurement within the organisation.
* You will be proactive in the targeting of organisations that would benefit from the e-procurement solutions offered.
* Ensuring all requirements are properly captured, documented, and agreed upon by all as part of a comprehensive qualification of customers' IT connection requirements for the technical in-house specialists.
* Understand and create the process flows that relate to the business system.
* Ongoing collaboration with all in-house departments and IT specialists in the pursuit of getting effective connections in place between organisations.
* Regular training courses, best practices, presentations and work outs with internal and external staff where you will promote the effective acquisition of new e-procurement customers.
* Stay up to date with EDI standards and protocols attending relevant trade shows and conferences.

Qualifications, Skills & Abilities

* Technical or Marketing degree; or equivalent professional experience in supporting EDI.
* EDI and Infrastructure experience
* Ability to work with multiple vendors as well as customers to move customers from a manual like process to automation through EDI interfaces.
* Tenacious in getting appointments and meetings in place and the ability to influence customers to help increase sales
* Strong Customer Service Orientation and exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
