The Telemarketing Manager will provide support and guidance to team members ensuring targets are met and appointment conversion rates meet the company requirements. In addition, creative ideas to motivate the team and build upon the existing free flow pitch are areas for the Telemarketing Manager to maintain and develop.The Telemarketing Manager will be required to have a comprehensive understanding of the company’s services, products and online management system and its application to prospects and be able to knowledgeably explain the company's role as an employee benefits intermediary.
Generic company duties and responsibilities
• Present a positive image of self and the company at all times
• Adhere to FCA regulations and requirements
• Attend company meetings as required, including 1:1 assessments
• Keep up to date with industry developments
• Attain minimum levels of competency as set by your line manager in your personal development plan
• Any other tasks and duties that may be reasonably required from time to time to assist in the running of the company
• Undertake and achieve minimum required level for regular in-house testing
Main job specific duties and responsibilities
• Authorising holiday requests and recording sickness absence
• Providing role relevant updates
• Completing quarterly compliance audits
• Assisting with recruitment and training of new Telemarketing staff
• Management of the team including appraisals, 121’s, PDP’s, absence management etc
• Manage discipline in the department in line with the company's aims and objectives (supported by Line Manager)
• Regularly review existing processes, feeding back to the Line Manager any proposed improvements/changes
• Carrying out a reduced number of outbound calls to gain appointments for the Account Managers
Qualifications
• One to two years successful experience of telemarketing
• One year’s experience in lead generation and conversion
• Proven record of professionalism in written communications
• Experience in use of CRM/leadtracking
• Team leader/senior role experience advantageous
Skills
• Excellent telephone manner including active listening
• Able to write letters/emails to a high standard
• Reliable, trustworthy and dependable
