Kent, Surrey and Sussex Community Rehabilitation Company (KSS CRC) deliver a range of rehabilitation services to people who have been sentenced by a court to either custody or community supervision and who are classed as low to medium risk. We are here to reduce re-offending and help keep safe the communities in which we operate. We believe a person can stop re-offending if they accept responsibility for their actions and the support we offer to make change happen.



The role of a Programme Facilitator is to deliver a range of group work programmes and courses aimed at changing challenging behaviour and patterns of thinking, including working with domestic abuse perpetrators. Full training will be given as part of the role.

We are currently recruiting for a number of roles across Kent



Key Responsibilities:


To train and deliver group work programmes for service users’ as outlined within the Programmes’ Manuals, including Building Better Relationships.



Participate in the preparation and planning of programmes



Provide written and or verbal information to Responsible Officers on service users’ progress, including post programme reports.



To provide guidance to Offender Managers on service users’ suitability to undertake a group work programme.



To contribute to the reviewing of programmes, to include the development of both the programme content and the skills required to deliver these programmes.



To monitor service users’ progress within the group, providing them with relevant feedback and recording their progress on the relevant systems.



To contribute relevant information pertaining to the risk that an offender may pose.



Prospective Programme Facilitators should currently be “violence free in their own lives”. The post holder will be required to undertake evening work until 10PM and occasional weekend working, delivering groups across the county, requiring frequent and extensive travel.

Skills and Experience:


Facilitation/Group counselling skills/ track record of running group work programmes or a high level of domestic abuse awareness.



Highly effective inter-personal and communication skills both verbally and in writing.



Ability to work effectively, cooperatively and flexibly with others both on a 1:1 basis and as part of a team.



Willingness to learn and develop from feedback about performance which may come from direct observation or video monitoring.



Ability to work effectively with a co-worker to deliver programmes



Being able to demonstrate self-control and have the ability to cope well under pressure.



Sensitivity to group dynamics and an ability to stimulate groups and individuals to participate fully in the programme.



Ability to maintain an adequate level of discipline and control so that learning can take place within the group.



Ability and willingness to challenge other people, including Offender’s inappropriate behaviour appropriately.



The Ideal candidate will be experienced in:


•Running Domestic Violence Programmes or General Offending Behaviour Programmes
•Experience of teaching/training/tutoring groups
•Dealing with information on a confidential basis
•Working to deadlines
•IT & Report writing skills.
