Recruitment & Labour Supply Ltd have been entrusted by their established multi-national client based in Essex to source a Stock Controller to join their team, with extensive knowledge and experience working with timber.

Candidate requirements

• Knowledge of timber products/market
• Have the ability to influence key decision makers to achieve results
• Demonstrates a desire to continually improve personal performance
• Demonstrates a high level of customer focus
• Experience in stock control
• Knowledge and experience of production scheduling
• High level of IT literacy and experience of using Microsoft office applications
• Diligent with a fine attention to detail
• Capable of handling large volumes of data accurately
• Ability to work flexibly within a small team
• Good housekeeping techniques and a good understanding of Health and Safety

You will become part of a national team who believe in quality, safety and service

You will be required to

• Monitor stock levels and continually aim to reduce overall and obsolete stock totals without compromising levels for the business
• Develop reporting tools for stock analysis
• Continuous PPI checks (Perpetual Product Inventory)
• Develop stock forecasting tools
• Assist with stock takes
• Aid with the Organise and control landed stock purchases
• Commitment to continuous improvement of department
• To ensure effective product flow to processing operations

Hours of work: 42 hours per week
Holidays: 31 days paid holidays per annum (including bank holidays) increasing to 33 with service

Salary: Starting Salary from £18,270 (based on 42 hour week £8.37 per hour)
