We are looking for an individual who wants an excellent opportunity to start their career. Knight Optical is a fast-growing company based in the UK with a newly-established US office. This is a highly technical field that offers the opportunity to work with some of the biggest and most cutting edge technology and aerospace companies in the world.
Working closely with all departments, the successful candidate will be joining our dedicated team of metrology technicians within our state-of-the-art testing facilities. The successful candidate will need to be professional, passionate, and have a proactive approach to carrying out wide array of tasks when necessary.
Daily activities will include;
• Understanding technical drawings to ensure parts conform to specification
• Using instruments such as gauges interferometers and spectrophotometers to measure optical components
• Use of stock management system
• Creating reports to input data clearly
• Emailing external customers and suppliers in a professional manner
Relevant Qualifications and Experience
No experience is necessary as full training will be provided, but the ideal candidate will have:
• A science related degree
• Excellent literacy skills, both verbal and written.
• An interest in science and technology
• Good listening skills
• Keen to learn
• Excellent eye for detail
• Ability to work to deadlines
