We are currently looking for a talented Payroll Supervisor to join a very successful organisation based near Cranbrook. This is a ‘stand-alone’ position and therefore confidence in your skill set ability to work on your own initiative is essential for this.
Reporting into the Finance Director, you will be required to administrate payroll for approximately 400 staff on the new HR computer system therefore previous similar experience is a must! You will be accountable for planning and managing high standards of electronic payroll practice and the administration of Pension Plans. Although you will follow standard policies and procedures, you are expected to use your knowledge and initiative to make decisions relating to analysing and reporting on data. The Payroll Supervisor will be the main port of call for staff who have payroll queries.
Furthermore, the role will also involve:
• Making electronic payroll changes to all staffing and pay elements (payments and deductions) as notified by HR.
• Update payroll with enhancements as notified by staff attendance sheets
• Update payroll with statutory changes
• Comply with Real Time regulatory requirements
• Ensure payroll remittances are made in a timely manner
• Run payroll on a monthly basis
• Reconcile payroll on a monthly basis
• Distribute payslips, P45’s and P60’s
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
• CIPP qualification/equivalent or willingness to work towards
• Experience of running payroll for a medium sized organisation
• Excellent numeracy skills
• Strong IT skills – computer literacy – WORD, Excel
• Experience with databases and spreadsheets
• Anility to stay calm under pressure and manage complex tasks
• Be methodical in your approach
