Residential Care Workers and Night workers

Majestic Family Services is a successful, expanding Kent based Residential Parenting Assessment Centre providing specialist parenting assessments for Local Authorities and the Courts. The quality of our assessments has been graded as ‘Outstanding’ in our most recent Ofsted Inspection.

The role of the available positions is to provide safety, support, care, guidance to families who are placed with us for assessment. A large part of the role involves detailed monitoring and recording. This is a great base role for professionals who may wish to move in to social work, early years, nursing, or more therapy/psychology based roles. We are looking for dynamic and positive individuals to join our fun and hard working team of professionals.

• We are currently offering full time, part time and Flexible Zero Hours contracts working within a rota system which includes shift work and possible sleep-ins. We are also offering Night work positions for shifts between 10.30pm and 9.30am.
• Salary range - £8- £12 per hour based on experience and qualifications

Person Specification
Essential
• Due to Ofsted Regulations, all employees must be over 21 years of age;
• Physically fit and able to carry out physical intervention when necessary
• Resilient and motivated person
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Calm, approachable manner, adaptable and non-judgemental
• Able to work under own initiative and as part of a team
• Basic housekeeping and cooking skills

Desirable
• GCSE in Maths and English at C Grade or above
• NVQ or Diploma Level 3 in Children and Young People’s Workforce or equivalent
• Previous experience in working in a residential care setting or with children and families
• Any relevant or transferrable skills, such as First Aid trained
• Ability to drive and hold a full driving licence
• Knowledge of Child Protection and Safeguarding
