We are recruiting for a Kitchen Porter to join a thriving catering team at a prestigious boarding school in the Canterbury City Centre.
This position is permanent, 40 hours a week, 36 weeks of the year (term time only).
The key responsibilities of the Kitchen Porter would be
* To clean and tidy all kitchen/catering areas and equipment daily and weekly in accordance with the kitchen cleaning schedules.
* To prepare food according to GSC's Food Hygiene and Health and Safety standards.
* To receive deliveries and distribute to the designated area, checking temperatures and condition of goods in accordance with GSC Food Hygiene standards.
* To assist your line managers in the delivery of hospitality events as required.
* To constantly work within the guidelines of GSC's Food Hygiene standards.
The successful Kitchen Porter would have the following:
* Similar experience in a catering environment. Full training will be provided to all new staff regardless of experience.
* Ability to work as part of a team with a willingness to work autonomously.
* Ability to provide high quality customer service
* A good understanding of GSC and its mission
Due to the sector this role is based in, the successful Kitchen Porter would be required to obtain a DBS certificate.
