We are looking for a Digital Merchandising Executive to join James Villas. This is an exciting new role within the marketing / ecommerce team and is focused on the implementation of our customer centric online experiences and multivariate testing.
The position will also support our paid search and display activity, working across our combined technology systems to further enhance personalisation across multiple channels.
This is a role with great variety from frontend design through to campaign management and data analysis. It will suit an analytical mind who is enthusiastic about the innovation of user experience and understanding the complete customer journey.

Responsibilities include:
• Support, implementation and reporting of the MVT strategy and targeted user experiences.
• Continue to review and evolve customer journeys and key influences of the experience, from top level browsing through to conversion rate optimisation within the booking process.
• Assisting with PPC / display campaign setup, monitoring, optimising and reporting.
• Undertaking competitor research, identifying emerging trends and examining customer behaviour to help inform digital thinking and enhance PPC, display and MVT plans.
• Working with the ecommerce team to enhance and improve the customer online experience through continual optimisation of the paid search channel.
• Taking ownership of selected daily and weekly reporting within the marketing team.
• Administrative tasks and support across various technology and software tools utilised.

Candidate Requirements include:
Minimum
• Previous experience with a role covering website testing and/or PPC and Display advertising.
• Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript and CSS.
• Confident in obtaining, analysing and reporting on data to support strategy recommendations.
• Can deliver quality results in a fast-paced environment, whilst working to strict deadlines and prioritising work.
• Good attention to detail, a keen sense of taking pride in their work and providing an excellent level of service to other team members and departments.
• The self-confidence to brief agencies and the marketing team
• Comprehensive knowledge of Google Analytics (or equivalent) and Microsoft Office.
• Marketing or web development qualification.

Desirable
• Experience working within a digital marketing department or front end development role.
• Experience using MVT tools such as Qubit, Adobe Target or Optimizely.
• Knowledge of customer experience analytics systems such as SessionCam or Hotjar.
• Experience working within the travel Industry.
• Degree educated.
