Staff Required at The Five Bells, Eastry

Due to business demand we are looking to expand our team with a passionate and experienced Cook with kitchen management experience.

The right applicants will have a professional restaurant/pub background of at least a year and be capable of working to a high standard under pressure with excellent communication skills.

We are a popular family friendly pub with bed and breakfast and host an array of private functions with a newly refurbished restaurant. We serve traditional home cooked meals but are also striving to introduce a seasonal menu for Spring next year with fresh local produce. With your experience you'll be the perfect person to help launch this.

We know that our food is key to the success of our pub and you’ll have an enormous influence over the performance of the business.


In your role as Lead Cook together with the Pub Manager, you will:
·Have the skills, vision and personality to lead and motivate other kitchen staff.
·Drive standards, quality and consistency
·Design and develop fresh food menus and ideally arrange tastings for these in advance.
·Prepare fresh food dishes
·Be financially accountable – e.g. stock control, ordering, manage and review GPs and wage percentages
·Support and be actively involved in the continued development of your team
·Meeting food safety and cleaning standards.

Benefits:

•Immediate start available. 40 hours plus required.
•Hourly pay rate is competitive and dependent on experience

Regular hours and days off can be fixed with the exception of private functions and bank holidays
