Transport Operations Manager
Candy Carriers require a bright, motivated, ambitious and organized new member of staff to join our team as a Transport Operations Manager.
This is a newly appointed position that will lend itself to a qualified person with a transport related background.
Providing a multitude of UK and Worldwide transport services the applicant will need to show the capability and aptitude to understand the complete range of services the company offers. The candidate should possess the personal skills to organize, communicate, motivate and inspire both colleagues and clients as it is an essential part of our day-to-day operation.
The role lends itself to a creative hand’s on individual who can work under pressure, solve problems and can create a disciplined environment in an assertive but friendly manner. Successfully demonstrate the skill to implement and maintain systems, processes and procedures effectively to generate efficiency, productivity and profitability for our company.
Previously documented experience of fleet management, operational planning and organization in the transport related environment will be essential. The ability to demonstrate knowledge of current transport regulations and any related Health and Safety policy is an essential responsibility.
Administrative duties, IT operation and resource management, all form an essential part of the daily routine and working environment.
Duties you may expect within the role:
Staff schedule Planning & Rostering
Driver hours regulatory compliance
Distribution planning
Responsible for vehicle maintenance scheduling
Training, supervising and appraising staff
Maintaining discipline
Ensuring quality of Services and Standards are maintained
Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
Liaising and maintaining good customer relationships
Personal skills we may expect from you:

Verbal and written communication skills
IT skills
Team management
Methodical and practical
Creating a team environment
Innovative
Sense of humour
Flexible
A Driver CPC along with an Operators CPC is a desired requirement for this position
