A highly successful Design and Build company based in Kent are looking to recruit an Office Fit-out Services Manager to support a highly experienced team of Project Managers in the promotion of the organisations services, and the delivery of effective client requirements. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all client requirements are completed on time and to budget. Previous experience within a construction related organisation would be preferable, or a strong working knowledge of the various trades involved in delivering projects including plumbing, electrics, carpentry, tiling, wall cladding, and ceiling / partition fitting.

The role
As a highly efficient, motivated and forward thinking person, you will manage our clients’ small works projects and minor maintenance requirements. Self-accountable, you will take ownership for increasing revenue and profitability through the delivery of successful outcomes.
A key requirement of the role is in ensuring that all ‘small-works’ are managed and controlled in a cost effective and efficient manner. You will be required to deliver client requirements aligned to current legislative Health & Safety obligations and the Company’s operational procedures. You will be heavily involved in the procurement of materials, programming, and cost management, having full understanding and of the project's finer details. As the clients day to day contact, you will be effective in making quick decisions and implementing requirements across multiple small projects. Initiative and good problem solving skills are therefore a pre-requisite of this role, as is the ability to respond quickly and professionally to client requests.
Maintaining and developing relations through effective articulate communication is essential in keeping clients reliably informed and reassured.
Key Accountabilities
• Liaise directly with clients in relation to their small maintenance and minor works projects;
• Support the senior project team in the delivery of client requirements;
• Develop and maintain effective internal and external working relationships at all levels;
• Effective coordination of third party contractors on site.
Skills and Abilities
• Professional business manner and smart ‘client facing’ appearance;
• Highly efficient, motivated and forward thinking;
• Highly organised with good time management skills;
• Ability to work under pressure to restrictive timescales and deadlines;
• Ability to work with the confines of client budgets;
• Confident negotiator with the ability to articulate and influence positive outcomes;
• Strong team player with a flexible and focused approach;
• Collaborative with all internal and external stakeholders;
• A high standard of written and communication skills;
• I.T. literate and proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office.
