Based near Hythe in Kent; Streetspace are leading manufacturers of canopies and street furniture with products that can be found on many external works schemes throughout the UK and Ireland.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Create professional, targeted product and service-related copy for our brands. Mediums include blog posts, B2B case studies, web copy including on page content, titles and meta descriptions, campaign landing pages and emails, online product specifications, brochure copy, press releases, social media updates, etc.

• Produce ‘journalist quality’ press releases every time, structured using the pyramid format.

• Ensure all copy is written to the highest standard and is 100% accurate, relevant, current and grammatically correct.

• Ensure all your material is in line with company and industry standards, maintaining brand integrity.

• Have a good understanding of our different customer types and target material accordingly.

• Effectively liaise with colleagues across the Company to consolidate your understanding of our services and products.

• Cultivate a strong industry awareness and be consistent about keeping your skill set and knowledge current, allowing your copy to be on tone, on message, timely and relevant every time.

• Press release and editorial writing & distribution. Including PR strategy, building media contacts and distributions lists and follow ups.

• Help to create both internal and external company communications.

• Develop content and collateral ideas across online and offline marketing channels and coordinate and collate content for these initiatives.

What we're looking for

• Excellent writing skills with the ability to relay technical terminology into an informative piece in a detailed and concise format that the average reader can understand.

• Experience writing SEO rich copy in online formats, such as web copy, blogs and other online media.

• Basic understanding of HTML/CSS.

• Ability and willingness to learn quickly.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Ability to communicate with colleagues across the Company at all levels and comprehend technical information.

• Excellent proofreading skills.

• Photoshop and photography skills are advantageous.

• Good organisation and time management skills. Ability to work under pressure.

• Experience in communications-based field, i.e. marketing, PR, journalism, creative writing, etc.

• Journalistic awareness – a strong understanding of the media, editorial requirements and what ‘makes’ a story so that the copy you create is useful and performs well for the client.

• Experience with media database, clippings tools and scheduling tools such as HubSpot a bonus.

• Ideally you will also have experience in a Business to Business environment.

• As a key member of the marketing team you’ll develop, deliver and evaluate integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns.

40 hours per week. Core hours 9am -5pm
