Customer Accounts Officer – Homeownership Team
Up to £30,557 per annum plus Car Allowance of £1,893 per annum
Mariner House, Dartford
Secondment / Fixed Term Contract for 8 months initially working 35 hours per week, one late night until 18.00pm
We have a Fixed Term Contract within the Customer Accounts Homeownership Team. You will play a key role in maximising our revenue as well as helping to enforce our arrears recovery policy.
Main duties will include:
Early intervention of low level arrears and assisting residents with their financial wellbeing
Complex arrears casework
Liaising with Banks and building societies, and other internal departments.
The successful candidates will possess excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills to provide a professional and efficient service to our residents. A working knowledge of the shared ownership process along with demonstrable ability where leasehold and freehold customers are concerned would be advantageous but not essential.
The ability to take ownership and responsibility of a busy workload is essential for this role, together with excellent literacy, numeracy and IT skills. You should be confident and organised, with the ability to explain complex information both verbally and in writing
In low level cases, the focus is on helping our shared owners to receive all of the benefits to which they are entitled and signposting them to relevant internal and external agencies. This is achieved by telephoning or visiting residents who may be hard to reach or who need one-to-one support with arrears issues.
In high level cases, you will represent Moat at court for possession hearings and carry out pre-eviction visits.
As attending court and visiting residents is a key part of the role, a Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
You will need to work flexibly to meet the needs of the team which will require working one late evening per week until 6.00pm. Please note this role is offered on a fixed term contract for 8 months.
