A leading logistics and distribution company in Dartford is currently looking for a new Traffic Clerk to join the ever expanding team.
The company has a strong presence in 6 continents, operates in over 120 countries worldwide and has just reported a record-breaking first 6 months of 2017 and is now looking for a driven and ambitious individual to help drive the development of an already hugely successful traffic desk.
Reporting into the Section Supervisor and Manager, the Traffic Clerk will be responsible for:
- Learning all aspects of the vehicle and trailer movements for the Transport office
- The routing of trailers from the facility for deliveries and collections all around the country
- Booking of part and full loads with 3rd party haulage
- Locating and approving new hauliers
- Plus any ad hoc responsibilities/cover as necessary
09:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday with overtime where necessary
The ideal candidate will be competent in admin and IT systems with excellent geographical knowledge and a minimum of 2 years experience in a Freight/Logistics Traffic office.
