Do you have excellent communication and listening skills with a polite and friendly telephone manner? Want to be part of a fast-growing, customer focused Kent business? Are you good at explaining things in a simple, patient and effective way?

RIFT helps people to claim back tax they have overpaid to HMRC - we’ve reclaimed over £135 million for tens of thousands of individuals nationwide. Many people lose hard earned money to the taxman that should be back in their own pockets, making their own lives easier.

Our Customer Service Advisors are required to provide knowledgeable and accurate responses to RIFT client queries, whether it is potential or existing clients over the phone. You need to be able to handle calls efficiently to keep within our service levels and direct calls appropriately.

The individual should have excellent communication skills and be able to work as part of a team to achieve individual and team targets.

Our customers often need to talk to us outside of standard office hours so you will need be able to work 37.5 hours per week over different shifts (within the period of 8:00am - 8:30pm Monday to Thursday, 8.00am - 6.00pm on a Friday and 9.00am to 1.00pm on a Saturday).

Key skills:
1. Excellent communicator, both written and verbal
2. Strong relationship builder
3. Adaptable and flexible
4. Ability to manage own workload in a fast paced environment
5. Able to work quickly and effectively under pressurised conditions
6. Tenacious and able to overcome objections
7. Self-motivated and organised

Key responsibilities:
1. To take incoming calls from existing clients and update or direct them accordingly.
2. To be able to qualify potential new clients and retain their interest in claiming.
3. Accurately detail our client forms when needed.
4. To work towards and achieve daily, monthly and yearly targets as directed by the TL’s and Contact Centre Manager.
5. To help generate new business through the encouragement of referrals from existing clients.
6. Actively promote any products or services either from RIFT or partner organisations.
