Junior Test Analyst

My client is expanding their team and is looking for a new team member to lead the test strategy and delivery of testing artefacts to our current and next generation products. You will bring knowledge and skills to the team and be able to generate enthusiasm among your team members for new technologies and working practices.

You will review project/product road-maps and, working with both product and development teams, deliver robust Test Strategies that align with our business drivers. You will be able to translate software requirements into rigorous Test Plans and, working with agile teams, lead test analysts in working to that plan.

The chosen Junior Test Analyst will gain exposure to the following;

* Preparation of test plans, test schedules, test scenarios, scripts and test data.
* Understanding specifications, analysing and reviewing project documentation and raising any questions or anomalies.
* Formulation of test strategies and approach
* Building and maintaining relationships with the project team and others affected by the testing, by providing effective and timely progress updates.
* Execution of tests cases and recording the test results.
* Reporting progress and escalating any issues to the project.
* Analysing and raising defects in an appropriate and timely manner.
* Retesting defect fixes as required.
* Maintaining high quality and accuracy up to software release.
* Developing knowledge of each software component and being able to demonstrate business conditions under test and anticipated results.
* Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with the schedule and quality requirements.
* Providing feedback to the Project Manager.
* Providing estimates to the Test Team for project scheduling.
