Company Overview:
Westmount Packaging is an expanding family-owned wholesale distribution business specialising in the supply of packaging materials B2B. This well-established business was founded in 1973 and has earned an unparalleled reputation for reliability.

We are hiring a Buyer to join our friendly team based at our offices in Paddock Wood.



Responsibilities:
• Obtain costs on items identified by the sales team
• Monitor inventory levels and re-order as necessary
• Collate and evaluate costs from multiple supply options
• Monitor cost bases and evaluate potential alternative suppliers
• Present and discuss finding with the sales team
• Place and progress orders with suppliers
• Proactively monitor and report on supplier performance


Essential Experience required:
• Buying or procurement experience in a B2B environment
• Research and evaluation
• Sourcing & costing bespoke items
• Microsoft Office


Your personal skills:
• Very strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent verbal communication skills and a positive engaging telephone manner
• The persistence required to track down a solution to challenging opportunities
• Strong written communication skills
• Self-motivated and able to work to deadlines
• Organised and efficient; able to work effectively under pressure
• Be a reliable and trustworthy member of the team

This is a permanent, full time position. Start date: ASAP (flexible).
