The role requires a 2-month contracted period where you will be an essential member of the Group-focused IT team undertaking software development to our client's C# based booking application.

You will be working with the Senior Developer on a company-wide strategic project to implement a new supplier service request module that will enable new automated workflow and processes between the sales and purchasing departments. This will optimise the process of how they source services in-line with customer demand.

You are an excellent communicator with a proactive attitude who’s confident in clearly and concisely engaging with others having good prioritisation skills and being able to work under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

· Work with the Senior Developer to understand development requirements and agree and deliver each distinct development task that realises all Project objectives
· Create and keep up-to-date documentation to support the development process
· Close and effective working with colleagues, effectively managing expectations in everything you do

Key Requirements:

· Proficient in C#, understanding its ecosystems and developing against the Microsoft .NET framework
· Working with Visual Studio 2012 (2015 preferred)
· Proficient in client-side solutions communicating with Microsoft SQL databases
· Familiarity with WinForms n-tier UI development
· Proficient use of LINQ
· Understanding of the Common Language Runtime (CLR), its limitations, weaknesses and workarounds
· Familiar with modern design and architectural technologies and development methodologies
· Effective UX/UI knowledge and experience building easy-to-use application front-ends to modern standards
· Using automated testing/unit test-driven development
· Able to contribute to existing and new documentation during the software development process
Desirable Skills:

· Knowledge and experience of Microsoft SQL Server
· Knowledge and experience using version management systems (specifically Git)
· Use of MOQ in TDD
· Use of Microsoft Entity Framework
· An understanding of agile software development principals
