Headlam PLC is the largest floorcovering distributor in Europe. We market, supply and distribute an extensive range of floorcovering products to independent flooring retailers and contractors throughout the UK and continental Europe.

Due to an increase in our business, we currently require a permanent HGV Class 2 (C category) )driver for an immediate start. As well as holding a current CPC card, you must provide at least 3 years checkable work references. You will need to be flexible, punctual, reliable and be able to work under your own initiative. You will also need an excellent understanding of spoken and written English.
Whilst experience in multi-drop is preferred, we are able to offer training to the right candidate.

Based at our Strood depot, the successful candidate will help us continue our first class customer service in the South East of England, in which, we undertake daily multi-drop deliveries to set areas. Normal start times vary from between 05:00am to 08:00am. We offer a competitive basic salary as well as an incentive based bonus.

Duties will include, delivering our floorcovering products on our own branded vehicles, maintaining a high level of professionalism whilst on the UK roads, daily vehicle checks before and after your shift and the ability to be flexible and adapt to the various start and finish times.

Due to the nature of our business, please be aware that the successful applicant will be required to undertake manual handling tasks that may involve some heavy lifting. With this in mind, all applicants must be of good health and of reasonable fitness, achieve a high work rate and be dedicated to developing a long-term career within our business.
