Customer Service/Claims Investigator - 3Month Contract

Hours: Monday-Friday 9am-6pm (1 hours lunch break)

Job Description
As a Claims Investigator you will investigate mobile phone and gadget insurance claims. Liaise with customers directly and third parties to ensure a thorough understanding of the circumstances of the claim. Collect accurate information and documents to proceed with a claim. You will communicate with customers over the phone, by letter and by email, providing an excellent standard of customer care and a sympathetic ear.
Your duties will include:
- Receiving incoming calls from customers answering their questions and queries
- Investigating claims that are made by policyholders
- Use a combination of tools including interviews and cutting-edge software to help evaluate claims
- Manage multiple cases with confidence and accuracy
- To respond well in difficult moments & working to meet targets and tight deadlines
- Prepare reports maintain records and keep track of evidence trails and interview statements
The Successful Applicant:
- A good listener who can remain calm under pressure
- Previous Customer service experience (not necessarily in an office environment, retail considered)
- Confident telephone manner
- A naturally inquisitive mind
- Minimum GCSE Level Maths and English C or equivalent
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Competent computer abilities
