The Best Connection Employment Group are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our prestigious Paddock Wood based client for a number warehouse assistants.

Initially employed on a 'temp to perm' basis, you will be working for a leading regional office supplies and print solution company providing support to the warehousing and storage function. Reporting to the Operations and Logistics Manager, ideally, you will be an experienced warehouse operative looking for a role within a business where there is scope for stepping up and being successful.

The ideal candidate will have warehousing experience, be computer literate and be able to communicate well within a busy, pressured environment. However the role would also suit a switched on individual who is looking for a start in the warehouse industry. As long as you are keen to learn and have a strong work ethic then you would have the tools to succeed in the role and build a career for yourself.

The main responsibilities will be, but not exclusively;

> Picking and packing goods ready for dispatch
> Liaising with couriers and logistic carriers to arrange deliveries
> Assisting with loading/unloading of vehicles for collections and deliveries
> Assisting with stock-taking
> General warehouse duties


Applicants should be physically fit as there will be an element of manual handling involved. Desirable but by no means essential would be experience of using a counterbalance fork lift vehicle as will be previous training in customer service.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:30 with 1 hour break. There are good public transport links in close proximity and coupled with the start time this would be ideal for those without their own transport.
