We have a fantastic opportunity for a Legal Cashier with proven experience of working within a Finance team seeking a new challenge with an award winning firm.
Purpose
Working directly for the Finance Manager to review residual balances across our 6 offices throughout Kent in accordance with the Solicitor’s Accounts Rules.
Job description
The role includes but is not limited to the following:
• Reviewing and reconciling residual balances
• Meeting with fee earners at our different office locations in Kent to go through balances
• Working with spreadsheets and journals
• To attend any meetings as required by the firm
• Working as part of a team to ensure all tasks are completed within the timescales and requirements set out in the Solicitor’s Accounts
Rules.
• Handle all confidential information discreetly
The Candidate
• Knowledge of how to deal with residual balances
• Own transport is essential as you will be required to travel to all of our offices on a regular basis
• You will need to be IT literate, familiar with computerised accounts and have good working knowledge of excel
• You will need to demonstrate an ability to work effectively within a team environment and have good communication skills
• You will need to be dependable and flexible to business needs, as overtime will be required occasionally to include working weekends
You will be based at our Sittingbourne office working in a friendly expert team.
