Solutions Consultant / Implementations Consultant
Location: Maidstone & Client site
Salary: £36k + £500 per month car allowance

It may be that you are currently a Solutions Consultant or Implementation Consultant would equally be a great fit. Also we would consider candidates who may be progressing from other roles with technical elements such as pre-sales
The candidate will work alongside experienced industry professionals and solutions experts. Presenting an opportunity to learn and work with our customers to deploy cutting edge software, have exposure to challenging retail and online environments and be a part of a team with a proven track record of delivering very high standards of service to our estate.
The role will require the candidate following training to assist Sales team on technical matters during the sales process. Once the merchant or partner selects the service the candidate will work closely with them on the integration process, using the resources available in the team for support.
The right candidate will progress and gain additional responsibilities such as solution consultation duties, integration testing of merchant/partner solutions, training provision and much more.
The role also includes a level of technical investigation should support teams require assistance with a live issue.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assisting Sales team in all technical matters before and during the sales process (including RFI/RFP completion)
· Presenting the technical/integration details of solutions to customers under the guidance of colleagues and management
· Taking ownership of change requests internally as and when raised by customers and partners
· Completing live installations of product range on customer site(s)
· Providing a first contact point for all technical queries from partners and merchants who wish to use solutions
· Providing consultancy to integrators during the integration process both remotely and onsite
· Performing installation of software SDK’s to allow integration to take place both remotely and on customer site(s)
· Carrying out integration testing and signoff for the customer integrations in retail, ecommerce and mail order - Testing experience is not required although may be useful and this can all be provided to the right candidate as training , the role would not suit someone who wishes to remain focused on testing as the main element of a role.
· Completion of training sessions on solutions with a variety of audiences including internal departments
· Providing an escalation path for live issues when support teams require it
· Attending customer sites for monitoring when further investigation is required
· Provide a route for partner feedback into the business to improve products and solutions
· Perform testing on new software/service releases and feedback to Implementations Manager
· Keep customer base informed as to updates within the industry and software/service updates
· Other responsibilities to be introduced as and when required by the business
DISCHARGED BY:
· Providing regular reports to the implementation manager with regard to the status of tasks
· Sharing solution and partner information with our support and customer services teams
· Ensuring that all integration notes are kept up to date in the CRM system
· Ensure all notes in the shared calendar are accurate
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Required
· A good level of experience in IT as a whole
· Must be a fast learner, and enjoy learning new things.
· Comfortable to present in front of various sizes of audience
· Candidate must be reliable and presentable at all times
· Experienced in Microsoft’s Office solution (including Outlook and PowerPoint)
· Must have a high level of proficiency in Microsoft’s Windows OS range - accessing and utilising administrative functionality
· Must have a good understanding of the components of a computer network and work with customers to troubleshoot issues
· Candidate needs to be passionate about technology and enjoys learning/mastering new functions and products
· Must be self-sufficient and able to manage their own diaries including travel arrangements etc.
· Driving Licence
Desirable
· Previous experience within the Payments Industry (ideally a PSP)
· Previous experience at a retail solution provider (e.g. POS provider)
· Programming experience
· Experience of working in retail environments
· Experience of software installations
