As a Warehouse Operative/Lorry Driver, you will work within our warehousing team to support the operations of the Logistics department ensuring the correct handling, transportation and storage of goods in and goods out.

Based at our Warehouse location in Folkestone, this role works a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, alternating between 6am – 6pm / 8am-8pm.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• To transport goods to and from various sites in a safe condition.
• To work with Logistics and Production to ensure speedy turnaround of trailers.
• To ensure all equipment is maintained and kept in a legal condition.
• To ensure all trailers and units are left in a safe area at all sites.
• To undertake any further movements as required.
• To dispatch components in a timely and correct manner, taking note of safe handling and loading procedures.
• Ensure that the issue of components and finished goods is in line with the correct stock and batch rotation practice.
• To receive supplier component and finished goods deliveries, ensuring correctness of deliveries against the delivery documents.
• To ensure that there are no discrepancies in quantity and quality.
• To handle and locate stock accurately, ensuring no damages.

Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Must hold a valid driving and Class 1 HGV licence.
• Valid MHE licence for all equipment.
• Valid forklift license – Counterbalance and VNA.
• Previous experience of working in a Warehouse environment.
• An excellent communicator.
• Organised and methodical approach .
• Ability to follow instructions and SOPs.
• Computer literate with experience of SAP an advantage.
• Good level of English, both written and verbal.
