Hours – 37 per week

If you are, then the position of Building Control Officer could be the role for you.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly self-motivated individual who is capable of delivering a high quality technical service to our clients, in a very competitive environment.
You will work as part of a small, professional team in a varied and interesting role and possess a professional qualification RICS, CABE or equivalent with significant post qualification experience in all aspects of building control work.
You will have excellent verbal and written communications skills, along with the ability and confidence to provide advice and guidance to customers and build positive working relationships.
You must be IT literate with the ability to adapt to new technology.

You must have excellent knowledge of the Building Act, Building Regulations, and a good understanding of Local Authority Building Control and associated legislation, policy trends and legal processes.

You’ll be expected to provide advice and assistance to members of the public and other in-house departments on professional Building Control matters.

A full current driving licence and use of a vehicle is essential, and you will also be required to be available for out of hours dangerous structures call outs.
