Our client based in Erith is seeking an ambitious Marketing Assistant, the role in the first 9 months will be covering maternity leave and then will move into a newly created Marketing Officer’s role.
Initial Responsibilities:
• Supporting the Marketing Manager in line with the company’s marketing strategy
• Growing the company’s presence through various social media platforms including: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn
• Updating and maintaining the company website and data-base
• Providing support with brochure design
• Providing support for production of flyers and newsletters
• Liaising with external design companies
• Liaising with external event organisers
• Providing support for communications including e-shots and press releases
• Extensive proof reading, copywriting duties
• Blogging
• Screening incoming marketing enquiries, undertaking market research as required
• Prepping and attending marketing related events
• Day to day administration responsibilities
• Supporting the sales team when required
• Creating marketing packs
• Managing marketing merchandise inventory
Marketing Officer Responsibilities (after maternity cover):
• Bespoke marketing project management
• Point of contact for key stake holders
• Driving business growth through tailored marketing materials and solutions
• Digital marketing campaign development
• Website and e-communications project management
• Working with the Marketing Manager to develop new marketing platforms and opportunities
• Supporting new photography and video production.
• Creating presentations for sales managers and key customers
• Supporting marketing events in the UK and abroad
Key Skills/Attributes/Experience:
• Knowledge of digital marketing trends (PPC, SEO, and Google Analytics, social media, etc.)
• Practical marketing skills and creativity
• Able to build marketing campaigns
• Able to develop marketing materials, lead on strategic marketing projects
• Work with key business partners
• Brand awareness
• Knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign, Adobe Suite and Publisher are advantageous.
• Project management and good time management skills
• Good understanding of social media and contemporary media trends are of high value.
• Experience of website CMS and maintenance would be ideal.
• Can do, positive attitude
• Desire to learn and gain promotion, ambitious and tenacious
• Confident and professional
• Team player, good listening skills
• Car driver – essential
Working Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm
Salary: initially £22 - £24K pa increasing to £28K - £30K after first year of service
