Are you seeking a new Supply Chain Manager position? As the Supply Chain Manager you will be responsible for:
* Being proactive in developing ways of working that generate the most value adding Customer insights
* Owning & managing the pipeline of activities within your own area of responsibility & allocate resource to activities in line with need
* Collaborating with the Customer Account Management Team to gather forecast value added insight for key demand events
* Working with Customers to gather insight relating to supply changes
* Working with Customers to ensure that bespoke product discontinuations are cleared from the Supply Chain & Distribution network within or in line with the agreed timelines or Customer contract
* Building the appropriate relationships with Internal Sales Teams to gather insight relating to sales driven change
* Ensuring that feedback is provided to Customers or Sales Teams on the quality of their insights
* Agreeing policies with sales teams and/or customers to manage waste/stock clearance where those policies do not already exist
* Working with Customers to monitor inbound Nominated Supplier Performance and to drive improvement where necessary
* Coaching & mentoring the team to enable a culture of continuous improvement
Our client requires the following knowledge and skills:
* Experience in a customer facing role
* Experience in a Supply Chain role
* Experience of people management desirable but not essential
* Understanding of outlook tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & Word) and experience of using an ERP system
* Experience or involvement in delivering or working as part of a project team essential
* Understanding of lean principles or other continuous improvement methodology desirable
* Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt would be advantageous
* Understanding of a distribution network & associated operational challenges desirable but not essential
