Grounds Maintenance Team Leader

The Role
Twig is now seeking a full time Grounds Maintenance Team Leader based in Kent to join its successful team. The main purpose of the role is to:
• Manage relationships with customers at all levels.
• Plan and deliver Grounds Maintenance directly, and through colleagues, safely, to a good standard, to budget, and on time.
• Support the Ecological & Agricultural teams during periods of seasonal calm.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities with customers, current and potential.
• Leadership and Management of people, equipment, systems, and raw materials.
• Occasional travel beyond the South East of England
Skills and Experience
• The individual must be suitable for working on sensitive sites where required and have a ‘clean’ unhindered return on Enhanced DBS checks.
• Horticultural qualification level 2 or equivalents.
• Three years minimum commercial experience working on Grounds Maintenance projects
• Full driving & towing (750Kgs +) licence.
• PA1 / PA6 Spraying Tickets
• Certificates of competence for: Ride-on Mowers, Brush-cutting, Hedge-cutting, and Sports Pitch White Lining.
• Chainsaw competence would be advantageous.
• Competence at writing and implementing Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
• Competence at understanding and writing COSHH assessments.
