You may have a formal accountancy, or tax qualification, or be qualified by experience, but you must have a sound understanding of personal taxation for this position. You should be able to undertake the preparation of self-assessment returns and communicate well with clients and staff at HMRC to clarify information and respond to queries. This is a busy office, and there will be plenty of face-to-face and phone interaction with clients. This position could be full, or part-time.

This is a well-established accountancy firm. It is a place where you will be able to deploy and develop your taxation and accounting knowledge. The firm is part of a larger accountancy network and as such, benefits from excellent group marketing, business development and high level technical support. They are now looking for a personal tax assistant to complement the current team.

It is likely that your experience will come from working within an accountancy practice, taxation specialist, or HMRC. Working knowledge of CCH Central software would be ideal; alternatively, knowledge of other tax return processing software would be valuable. Training and ongoing CPD will be provided.

This position could be full or part time. Salary dependent on experience and qualifications.
