Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs)

Variable shifts (7am to 11pm, Mon to Sun)
Salary £19,755 rising to £22,668 (after successfully completing a 12 month probationary period)

About the role
As a Police Community Support Officer you will work closely with local communities and businesses to promote community safety. You will also be responsible for identifying and solving local problems in order to help keep communities safe.
Working closely with regular officers, special constables and local authorities you will actively seek information and intelligence around criminal activity, disorderly or anti-social behaviour.
You will have certain powers, such as issuing penalty notices and play a key part in longer term projects to tackle local problems.
About you
As a Police Community Support Officer you will be passionate about helping communities. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills when supporting members of the public. You will also be good at problem solving with the ability to develop an innovative approach to problems.
You will be fully supported during your first year of training to allow you to complete a learning portfolio.
