Catering Assistant/ Catering Apprentice Required
Have you recently left college, or are about to and are looking for an opportunity to get a start working in a professional kitchen, working with someone who can really support you to progress your career in catering?
If the answer is yes you could be just the person we are looking for!
Hours 09:30 till 14:30 Monday to Friday
20 working days holiday ( pro rata if you start part way through the Holiday year).
You will need at least Level 2 in Catering and some work experience, plus common sense and commitment.
Key Responsibilities;
Under the direction of the Catering Manager -
• Ensuring the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic
• Washing utensils and dishes and making sure they are stored appropriately
• Sorting, storing and distributing ingredients
• Washing, peeling, chopping, cutting and cooking foodstuffs and helping to prepare salads, sandwiches, cakes and desserts
• Disposing of rubbish
• Organising linen laundry
• Cleaning the food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or areas
