Enterprise Architect

This is a great opportunity for an highly experienced, well rounded Enterprise Architect with experience across all domains (Infrastructure, Applications, Data, Service, Technology, Security) to join a leading financial services group, a highly progressive, customer centric organisation, housing some of the UK\`s best loved brands.

The role is responsible for establishing, maintaining, communicating and governing domain specific architecture and roadmaps, ensuring it is aligned with corporate strategies, business goals and agreed IT strategies and plans. Covering the entire enterprise Infrastructure or Data domains as well as the integration with domains including applications, service and security, this role will suit a pragmatic Enterprise Architect with depth and breadth of experience across all domains.

Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Head of EA and Chief Architect and other key stakeholders within the business and CIO function to create the DLG Infrastructure or Data strategies, roadmaps and Strategy Execution Plans (SEPs), and the modelling and maintenance of these artefacts (and all other infrastructure or data-related artefacts) within the selected EA tool and Enterprise Continuum
- Work closely with the Head of EA, Chief Architect and other key stakeholders to create, publish and maintain the requisite Infrastructure or Data architecture guidance and measures, such as standards / modelling standards; policies; principles; guidance notes; and so on.
- Responsible for maintaining the long term Cloud Infrastructure or Data Architecture, Enterprise Service Bus and Enterprise Integration Platform Architecture blueprints and designs or, working closely with the Head of Quality Management and the rest of the EA and CTO team to govern and assure the Enterprise Data Architecture and all solutions that contribute to / deliver this architecture.
- Responsible for ensuring and governing security by design is embedded in all Architectural blueprints
- Provide governance through the design authority on project implementation of designs
- Provide advice, guidance and domain expertise in order to:
Assess the cost, risk and technical impact of change and support the development of an architecture investment strategy.
Provide advice and guidance to foster strategic business unit alignment and ensure adoption and compliance to standards, re-use and best practice across the organisation.
Monitor and report progress against the roadmap and target architectures. Provide quality assurance, advice and guidance to ensure compliance.
Provide support for project prioritisation and the development of solution architectures.
- Assess the impact of a solution change on the current and future enterprise architecture and the overall fit of the solution recommendation. Identify and resolve architecture issues and risks.

- Work closely with the business and key stakeholders to solicit and capture their concerns and view requirements for the Infrastructure or Data Architecture and to guide, advise and support the rationalisation and simplification of infrastructure systems, reducing TCO
- Provide technical oversight to application architecture and solution development teams in creating business driven solutions adhering to the enterprise architecture and governance standards
- Build, maintain, and govern the Enterprise Infrastructure Portfolio and the lifecycle management of infrastructure within the estate (all environments)

Required experience:
- Extensive experience in developing Enterprise Architecture for the Infrastructure and/or Data domains
- Excellent time and task prioritisation and management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with good senior-level stakeholder management soft skills and competencies;
- Experience with the use of the leading EA tools and modelling technologies such as Metis; Sparx EA; and so on
- Familiar with the agile software engineering life cycle for development and the concepts and practices required to implement effective information systems in large, global organisations
- Knowledgeable and experienced in supporting / working with the DevSecOps paradigm.
- Technologically and politically neutral, articulate, persuasive, and a good salesperson, motivated and enthusiastic.
