Our Manufacturing client based in South Kent requires a Site Services & Facilities Engineer to join their Engineering department.
Suitable candidates will have the following skills / experience / attributes:
• Previous experience in a similar role (ideally within a manufacturing / industrial environment)
• Experience of working with boilers, RO plant, Sprinkler and Deluge systems, Chillers, HVAC equipment & other site services.
• Experience working alongside contractors.
• Working knowledge of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)
• Ability to react and resolve breakdowns.
• Experience of carrying out planned maintenance activities.
• Previous experience issuing and control of Permits-To-Work.
Suitable candidate must hold a driving licence.
Working with the team the role will involve:
• Providing site services and infrastructure expertise to the Engineering team.
• Assisting in first response to breakdowns, fault-finding and repair of site service related equipment such as: Boilers, RO plant, Sprinkler and Deluge systems, Chillers, HVAC, Tank Farm, Incoming Supplies, etc.
• Undertaking day-to-day activities to maintain and clean the above systems when required e.g. fill diesel tanks, salt softeners and boiler treatment chemicals. To empty and clean dust collection systems and general site equipment.
• Liaising with Engineering Scheduler to ensure that PPM is scheduled and completed for the equipment on site.
• Liaising with contractors attending site for maintenance or project related activities
• Ensuring the site grounds are kept clean and tidy.
• Supporting the waste removal activities from the site.
• Providing other general repair activities as and when required.
Salary is dependent upon skills and experience. Working hours are 8am – 4:30pm Monday – Thursday and 8am – 3:30pm Fridays.
