The position is on a casual basis and will include working shifts over a mixture of weekday, evening and weekend rotas.

You must be a punctual, enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our current fitness team. You must work well within a team and be self motivated to keep busy when working alone. You will be expected to perform inductions and help keep the gym clean and well maintained and create a positive and friendly atmosphere. JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE OF POST: Wellness Instructor - Casual
RESPONSIBLE TO: Centre Fitness Manager

Purpose of Post:
To assist with the operations of the Sencio Wellness facilities and provide a efficient and helpful service to the members and users of both the health and fitness facilities and Centre users as a whole.

Key Activities:
To supervise the gym in an interactive manner to ensure that all clients are encouraged to get the most out of their leisure experience and are supported to achieve their goals in a safe and controlled manner.
To ensure that all enquiries concerning the facilities are handled in an enthusiastic, polite and friendly manner and in line with company sales procedures.
To support in developing health and fitness initiatives for identified target groups.
To ensure a high standard of cleanliness at all times.
To check all equipment on a daily basis for routine maintenance and safety.
To participate in any relevant training for the duties of the post and to achieve the key objectives of Sevenoaks Leisure Limited.
To participate fully in Sevenoaks Leisure Limited’s staff appraisal scheme.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential:
Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification
Good communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
A full commitment to customer care
Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
Flexible and able to work unsociable hours

Desirable:
Experience of working in the fitness / leisure industry
Level 3 Personal Trainer; sports related degree or equivalent fitness qualification
Experience of fitness testing, personal assessments and exercise programme design
Experience of using computerised assessment systems
Experience of fitness activity programming
Coaching / teaching qualifications
Experience of working in a sales environment
First Aid certificate
