Technical Auditor - Motor Claims

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced motor claims auditor to join the claims arm of a thriving motor insurance group, helping the business minimise leakage through effective claims file and telephony audit and the application of improvements and best practice for handling motor accident damage an personal injury claims.

Purpose of the Role:
- Conduct departmental, business and individual file, system and telephony audits within agreed SLA`s and within the business delegated authority
- Identify, and recommend corrective action, to minimise leakage and improve quality

Key Role Deliverables:
- Conduct File and Telephony Audits that will promote accuracy against agreed targets and support the growth and strategic direction of the business
- Report findings to line and back into the business
- Identify and recommend corrective action plans and training of processes to minimise leakage and improve quality to rectify all gaps in knowledge
- Attend regular QA meetings to share best practices, initiatives and report Audit findings and Training updates to team leaders
- Keep abreast of all regulatory and technical developments in the industry
- Build relationships with all areas of the business in order that all areas of the business work alongside each other

Critical Competencies:
- Ability to detach, and investigate and report on the facts
- Detailed knowledge of claims best practice, particularly in relation to effective cost/leakage control, quality, training and compliance
- Understanding of all relevant legislation impacting upon motor claims handling
- Full understanding of FCA requirements and current FOS rulings, including TCF and Data Protection Regulations
- Good grammar, vocabulary and excellent written and oral communication skills
- Self-motivator and with good presentation skills and experience in internal and external client/supply relationship management
- Attention to detail

Experience:
Preferred
- Minimum of 5 years insurance experience, including qualitative assessment in a motor claims environment
- One year or more Audit experience

Essential
- Professional demeanour, with a mature approach capable of working under a minimum of supervision
- Good grammar, vocabulary and an ability to explain complex insurance terminology so it is easy to understand
- Understanding of current industry standards for Customer Service, Complaints, Compliance and Claims Management
- Ability to identify trends and draw conclusions from audit data
- Previous experience in PI MOJ claims, AD and PD claims handling
